Day 6 Oct 21, 2009

Ok everybody this is going to be a quick blog tonight. (We are exhausted). The day started in Gulf Breeze fl. as we got about a mile into the ride which just happened to be about a mile over a 3 mile bridge Jerry decided to let his bike pop 3 spokes (not good at all). Jerry and I walked another mile together than I went ahead in search of a bike shop for repair. called Truley Spokes of Pensacola they were so nice, he came and picked us both up and repaired the bike we were back on the road by 10am. Changed route to hwy90 I really enjoyed the hills of AL. but Jerry's knee wasn't aqs excited. Got into Mobile at 5pm and found Hotel about 6pm. Sorry to cut it short tonight I will try to catch you all up tomorrow night. Thanks for the prayers and support.

  2. Just a quick observation.... at 9 a.m. your time you are looking for a bike shop to fix the spokes and at the same time, Karin is praying for you! ... because it was 10 a.m. Georgia time. I really appreciate the prayers that have been said, because those cars where flying by while you were on that busy bridge. Thanks so much! Mississippi tomorrow! Can you believe it? Rest well tonight, God bless you guys and everyone you come in contact with. Patti

  5. btw, I feel that I should mention this to you, T&J: When I rec'd word about your small emergency this morning I had JUST finished praying for you all! Of course, I prayed again that whatever it was would be rectified quickly. And I just read above that help was on the way and that you were up and going pretty fast! Isn't God amazing?!

  7. Hello Tracy and Jerry, I've been following your blog for a few days now and I'm extremely proud of what you two are doing for the Chatham family.
Have a safe ride tomorrow and our prayers and thoughts are with both of you as you experience the beauty of the scenery, the dangers of riding on a very busy interstate, the unexpected bike mishaps and meeting interesting and kind hearted people along the way. Keep on posting and take care....hope to see you guys soon.
